Distribution of packages for pensioners next week

Damjan Miljanić, Commander of the Emergency Situations Headquarters, said yesterday in the Crisis Headquarters’ report, among other things, that distribution of packages for pensioners would begin next week, and that an order by the Headquarters specified that the packages contain domestically produced goods, in order to support our economy. Miljanić also noted that international truck drivers are permitted to travel once they have received clearance from the sanitary inspector. This does not mean that they can move freely around the city, visit friends and the like.

The measure is intended to ensure the smooth operation of road transport, namely international freight forwarding. In recent days, this measure has very often caused misunderstandings and confusion, as well as concern among many of our citizens. Upon returning from abroad, drivers in international transport may travel after receiving clearance from the sanitary inspector, but only from their home to their vehicle, when they continue with the next load they are transporting, Miljanić concluded.
