Crvenka’s handball players, members of the Serbian ARKUS Super League, were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Vojvodina Cup. Last night, Crvenka lost 33:26 to Jugović of Kać, a member of the Super B League; the halftime score was 17:14 in favor of the Kać team. It is worth noting that Crvenka took the court last night significantly weakened, without goalkeepers Vitas and Pavićević, backs Radonjić, Mitrović and Čabril, winger Milutinović and pivot Vukadinović. Even so, despite their depleted squad, they were evenly matched until the 51 minute, when the score was 25:24 in favor of Jugović. Over the next four minutes, Jugović’s players went on a 4:0 run, taking a five-goal lead, which they managed to extend before the end and thus qualify for the Vojvodina Cup semi-finals. Crvenka’s top scorers were Bošković with 8 and Račić with six goals.
