Odžaci from Kula failed to record their third spring victory in the Serbian League, Vojvodina group. Željko Račić's team drew 1:1 with hosts Železničar in Pančevo in the 18. round. Odžaci took the lead through a goal by Matijašević, but the hosts quickly regrouped and equalized. About ten minutes after the equalizer, Matijašević had a very good chance to put his team back in front, but the home goalkeeper made an excellent save, and the teams went into the break level at 1:1. The pace dropped in the second half, play was stop-start, and there were no particularly clear chances to score, so all things considered, a share of the points was the fairest outcome. Odžaci are currently seventh in the table with 29 points, and host Radnički from Sremska Mitrovica in the next round.
Crvenka continued its successful spring run in the Sombor District League, recording a fourth consecutive win. In the 19 round of the championship, Crvenka beat Slavija of Pivnice 3:0 in front of their home fans. Crvenka’s goals were scored by Jovan Subotić, Predrag Kišjuhas and Marko Kerekeš. Our other district league teams all suffered defeats. Lipar lost 1:0 at home to league leaders Stanišić, Kula lost 2:0 to ŽAK in Sombor, while Rusin of Ruski Krstur lost 2:1 to Hercegovac in Gajdobra. Aleksandar Čizmar scored for Rusin, and the team from Krstur once again felt the bitterness of refereeing injustice, as Rusin’s management considered the penalty awarded to the hosts nonexistent. Mladost of Kruščić had a bye this round. Crvenka are second in the standings with 41 point, Lipar eighth with 23, Kula twelfth with 17, Rusin thirteenth with 14, and Mladost bottom in fifteenth with 8 points. The next round features a municipal derby: Kula and Lipar will face off at Geder in Kula. Second-placed Crvenka visit Stari Grad in Bačka Palanka, Mladost host Krila Krajine of Bačka Palanka in Kruščić, and Rusin have a bye.
Sivac's Polet disappointed, having spent just one round at the top of the Sombor Intermunicipal League First Division table. In the past 14. round, Sivac lost 2:1 away to Jedinstvo in Ribarevo. Stefan Komazec scored Polet's goal. Sivac are second in the table with 32 points. In the next round, Polet host leaders Radnički from Ratkovo, who have two more points, so a win would put Sivac at the top of the table.
Kula football club KFK delighted their fans, beating Graničar 3:2 in their round 11 match in the Sombor Intermunicipal League, Second Division, in Riđica. KFK's goals were scored by Stojanov, Mihajlović, and Vuković. KFK are currently fifth in the standings with 17 points, and next round they host league leaders Terekveš from Svilojevo.
Polet's women footballers were successful, beating Mačva from Šabac 6:1 at home in Sivac in round 9 of the Women's First League. Šerko scored three goals for Polet, Viktoria Časar scored twice, one of them from the penalty spot, and Jovana Golubović scored one goal. Polet's women footballers are currently sixth in the standings with 10 points, and next round they visit bottom-placed Radnički 1919 in Zrenjanin.
Basketball news
Hajduk's basketball players beat Sloven from Ruma 110:92 in round 23 of the First Serbian League in front of their home fans, with the halftime score at 59:51. Hajduk's most effective player was their most experienced, Jovan Bajić, who scored 35 points, while captain Zoran Škrbić and Danilo Borović each scored 23. Hajduk's basketball players are eighth in the standings with 10 wins and 13 losses, and next round they visit Futog Tupanjac in Futog.
