Grants to married couples for the purchase of rural houses

The Provincial Institute for Gender Equality has announced a competition to award non-refundable funds to married couples in the territory of AP Vojvodina for the purchase of rural houses with yards. Applications for the Competition will be accepted until 15 January 2015.   SUBJECT OF THE COMPETITION The subject of the Competition is the award of non-refundable funds for the purchase of rural houses with yards to spouses and unmarried partners (hereinafter: Competition Participants) residing in the territory of AP Vojvodina who do not own or co-own residential property. Rural houses referred to in paragraph 1 are defined as properties located in villages outside city and municipal centers and suburban settlements. The total funds awarded under this Competition amount to 40.000.000,00 dinars. Competition Participants may submit only one application, and the amount awarded may not exceed 1.000.000,00 dinars.   ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION The following are eligible to participate in the Competition: – spouses whose marriage has lasted for at least one year; and – unmarried partners in a long-term partnership, in accordance with the law.   COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS At the time of submitting an application to the Competition, participants must meet the following requirements:

1. to be no older than 40 years
2. that they are not related by blood to the potential seller of the real estate,
3. that they are not the owner/co-owner of any real estate and have not transferred ownership of any such property in the previous 5 years,
4. that at least one spouse/partner is employed,
5. to have had a registered place of residence in the territory of AP Vojvodina for at least 5 consecutive years,
6. that the construction value of the property in question does not exceed 1.500.000,00 dinars.
